Dry clean the first time. Fold in muslin, refold every few months and keep naphthalene away from zari.
Silk & half silk
Dry clean is best; a gentle cold hand wash is fine for half silk. Dry in the shade.
Cotton, linen & handloom
Hand wash separately the first time, never wring, dry in the shade and iron while slightly damp.
